ended my exams on a high (or maybe low) note! haha, i was very sure my paper was supposed to start at 2pm. i set all my alarms at 12pm to wake up for lunch. i had dinner til late last night and event watched the repeat of cyril takayama simply magic til 1am. btw he is brilliant! i thought i would be able to wake up early the next morning to continue revising. but nooo, haha i was so wrong. received a call from ban zha bor at 8.30am asking me to wake up and come for exam. i thought she was joking, so i went back to sleep. then i smsed asking 'ehh exams not at 2pm meh?' and she replied 'noo 9am, go check your exam docket'..i jumped out of bed and checked the exam docket, PURCHASING, COST and CONTROL 9AM-12PM ...

i was like ohhh, f***.

hahah quickly wash up and sped all the way to college! and it was raining! thankfully managed to reach at like 9.05am..doooosh` happy holidays!

where to go during one-month break? singapore, penang, kedah, perlis, thailand..?

ROCK fans will get their big day out soon! Pop punk outfit the All-American Rejects, has confirmed a new date to perform at DiGi Music LIVE concert. It will now be held on Oct 31 at Car Park A of the Bukit Jalil National Stadium.

The newly confirmed date of AAR’s performance comes within days of the announcement postponing the concert due to injury sustained by the lead vocalist of the Oklahoma-based band, Tyson Ritter.

wooohooo just got back from the event awhile ago, it was awesome! managed to get the redzone tickets for like rm35 haha! thanks David! and happy birthday ;)
the initial price was rm100/ticket. i managed to bargain til i got rm70 for 2tix! haha didn't know my bro was going, was walking from sunway resort to pyramid, saw his car and ran towards his car! michelle thought i was nuts! (she was with me) my bro bought his tickets for rm80! haha noob! :P

went in around 6.30pm or so, it just started..so friggin' crowded and it was drizzling when Boys Like Girls came out! they were the first act, pretty alright.dont know many of the songs they sang, except for Thunder. after that was Raygun. the lead singer wears guyliner! like ADAM LAMBERT! teeheee. and he wore a blue shirt with a red jacket, like CLARK KENT! even his hair was similar! haha but noo, im not crazy over him :P

err Pixie Lott or something was up next, a british female singer.dont really know her.next. HOOBASTANK! omg, they totally stole the show! EVERYONE was screaming and singing along! doug was so cute ;D he came out saying 'this is the most people i've ever seen in a pool!' haha.he smirked at the crowd at one point, for like 5 full-seconds, haha! the camera was pointing straight at him. they sang a few songs, and doug said 'wow you guys really love to sing! let's see if you know how to sing this song' then guess what they sang?

GHOSTBUSTERS! hahahah, the crowd sang along as well! they had a perfect ending with The Reason. :)

the All-American Rejects was next thankfully! If they made them play last, i think i would've gone home before they performed! hahah, the aar kicked off with Dirty Little Secrets then swing,swing, i wanna touch you, when the wind blows, err a few more i dont know, it ends tonight and ended with gives you hell :) awesomeee..left after they performed as i didn't know who the Kasabian was and didn't bother staying for other malaysian bands. HAHA :P

stayed over the noobs house on saturday, he has a new la-la hair cut if you haven't seen him! watched Fighting at midvalley, before heading to keegans house. didnt know the portuguese fish stall at Oasis sold belacan kangkung and all until today! and i've been eating there for so long! haha, he has a new lcd tv upstairs and we used it to watch youtube videos! from Adam Lambert :) to Britain's Got Talent to that Ebichu porno hamster! hahaha omgg..went to dinner at the clubhouse, food took forever! ate Swiss Chicken Cheese Steamboat. didn't know what it was at first, but it's like cheese fondue..was not bad but can't complain cos the meal was free! :D hahah then came back and continue watching videos and a bit of House and Family Guy on the lcd..the host was so 'gracious', he was the first to go to bed! we tried waking him up with the camera flash non-stop..ken was pulling his blanket, and he sounded like he was gonna cry! hahaha ohh before that, i intro-ed keegan and boonz to 2 games on bored.com called 'hardest game' and 'unfair traps', and they were fully-drained even though they only got to level 3! i'm still not telling you how to pass keegan! hahaha..we ordered mcD at around 4.30am! only breakfast sets were available haha, boonz couldn't wake up for his! he wanted to eat the egg mcmuffin in the morning but keegan's mum didn't let cos she said it was soggy! lol, 6bucks gone..slept around 6am and woke up about 2pm, didnt go out for lunch..they bought food back for me, hehe..left around 3pm i think..reached home and slept again :)

AMERICAN IDOL 2009: the winner is..

the biggest upset in history!

Adam Lambert & Kiss (they are like lizards wit make-up!)

AMERICA has spoken and the people have voted in favour of Kris Allen, the guy-next-door crooner from Little Rock, Arkansas to be the eighth American Idol. Yet even before the confetti shower has settled, fans worldwide are already discussing on the Internet whether or not the clean-cut soft rocker deserves the accolade.

Even Allen was shocked when his name — instead of Adam Lambert’s — was announced by host Ryan Seacrest as the winner. His first response: “Adam deserves this”.

If Allen himself doubted the results, then perhaps America did get it wrong this time. There are a million reasons why Lambert should have won the contest.

The San Diego native’s winning streak started the day he sang Bohemian Rhapsody during his audition a few months ago.

Lambert’s almost limitless vocal range and spellbinding performances have been hard to ignore, let alone forget, since then.
Rock and Roll week was predictably a walk in the park for Lambert. His rendition of Led Zeppelin’s Whole Lotta Love received the approval of those who grew up listening to the band and sent them marching to iTunes to download the remade single.

In the 10 weeks of being on the reality TV series, the veteran theatre actor had always risen to the occasion.

For Country week — in which many contestants stumble and fall — Lambert showed that he was no “one trick pony”.

He picked up from where Rock Star: Supernova contestant Dilana left off and turned Johnny Cash’s Ring of Fire into a “sexually charged, Far Eastern inspired number”.

He also sailed through Motown and Rat Pack Standards weeks and even moved mentors Smokey Robinson and Jamie Foxx with his interpretation of Track of My Tears and Feeling Good.

Simply put, Lambert had shown a great body of work throughout the competition and did so without missing a single note.

Although fans have seen their fair share of talented contestants, they have never met one quite as charismatic and enigmatic as Lambert.

On stage, he looks like an edgy superstar with a penchant for black eyeliner and nail polish as well as “jumping off cliffs, creatively speaking”. Off stage and during interviews, he transforms into an eloquent and a well brought up gentleman.

Lambert is refreshing and appeals to the inner rebel of fans young and mature. He shows that it is possible to be both a rock star and a role model — just ask the children from the community theatre group which Lambert attended as a boy.

Lambert revisited the theatre group recently as part of his homecoming to his hometown San Diego.

Footages of Lambert patiently answering questions from preschoolers about “how he got so good at singing and dancing” gave fans a sense of the kind of mentor Lambert could be to young people with artistic aspirations, regardless of what rumours about his sexuality and the incriminating pre-Idol photos circulating the Internet may suggest.

But in the land of reality television shows, not even an early favourite such as Lambert is “safe”.

That American Idol traditionally favours contestants who are “a little abashed, nervous and demonstratively relieved when they survive” — a description one would use on Allen but not Lambert — may have stacked the odds against the self-assured performer.

The result announced on Wednesday night (Los Angeles time) confirmed that while America adored his “theatrics”, it could stomach Lambert’s brand of music up to a point.

America may not be ready for an androgynous rocker to be its Idol but there is a general consensus on the World Wide Web that, win or lose, Lambert will have a long and healthy music career unencumbered by “mountains and hurricanes”.

In the words of judge Paula Abdul, “whatever happens with this Idol journey, I know with every fibre of my being that you are going to be iconic”.

'American Idol' Finale: It's Adam Lambert Vs. Kris Allen

Danny Gokey says goodbye to the 'Idol' stage as judge Simon Cowell congratulates him on a 'brilliant' performance.

It's the screamer versus the quiet soul man. The flashy, trashy L.A. rocker against the mellow, humble small-town crooner. Call it what you like, but next week's "American Idol" finale could be one of the most exciting in the show's history. A "ding-dong," if you will, to quote judge Simon Cowell.

Following a titanic 88 million votes — and with just 1 million separating the top two finalists — Danny Gokey became the odd man out on Wednesday night when he was eliminated from the show's first-ever all-male top three.

With just minutes left in the hour, host Ryan Seacrest finally broke the tension by first announcing that Kris Allen would be in the finale, bringing a look of sheer surprise to the 23-year-old singer's face and a standing ovation from the judging panel, including Cowell, who, up until Tuesday night, repeatedly told Allen that he would never make it to the final.

And then it was Adam Lambert's turn, as the bombastic singer who has blazed a nearly flawless path through the finals buried his hands in his face and gave his bros a hug in celebration of making it to the finish line.

It was an excruciating wait for the trio, who spent nearly every minute of the hour wondering their fate. Early in the show, Gokey — the only contestant this season to never be in the bottom three — relived the up-and-down night he had on Tuesday, when the judges split on his scatting and dancing during his Paula Abdul-chosen take on Terence Trent D'Arby's "Dance Little Sister," but were unanimous in their praise for his sentimental take on Joe Cocker's "You Are So Beautiful." This being the penultimate "Idol" show, the Milwaukee native was waved over to the couches to make way for Allen's flashback.

Fans predicted that Allen, who got mixed reviews for his too-close cover of OneRepublic's "Apologize" and raves for a daring acoustic take on Kanye West's "Heartless," would go home on Wednesday night. But after he shocked the room with the stripped-down 'Ye cover, even Cowell had to admit Allen deserved a shot next week. While Allen also didn't get the good news right away, he did reveal that no matter what happened, he was already a winner, as his favorite Conway, Arkansas, restaurant, Stoby's, offered him free cheese dip for life.

Questions arose this week over whether Cowell lobbied too hard for Adam Lambert at the end of Tuesday night's show, when he warned fans to "take nothing for granted," which some saw as a sign that he was advocating they vote for Lambert.

Regardless, the Los Angeles musical-theater veteran once again got almost all thumbs up for both his sensuous take on U2's "One," and a cat-scratch run through Aerosmith's "Cryin'." He was the last finalist to not get the news right away after, like the others, he watched a montage wrapping up his trip home last week, in which he met his hometown San Diego fans.

Once the verdict finally came down, Gokey, whose tragic tale of losing his young wife, Sophia, had become one of this season's early emotional story lines, kept his composure. Looking cool and relaxed with his hand on his chin, Gokey watched his goodbye video, smiling and reprising his poignant take on "You Are So Beautiful," bringing tears to Abdul and Kara DioGaurdi's eyes as he milked the ballad for all its heartstring-pulling emotion. The three singers then shared a group hug center stage as, once again, the show ran over by several minutes, perhaps robbing some viewers of the final words of wisdom from Cowell.

Setting up next week's showdown, he said, "None of us would have predicted this, guys ... no disrespect because you were brilliant last night and just now ... by the way, Danny, congratulations. But Kris, your second song ["Heartless"] in particular made you a contender. You're in with a real shot. Adam, you know we've always liked you. This could be what we call a big ding-dong coming up next week."

The show also featured Katy Perry performing her latest single, "Waking Up In Vegas," as well as season-six winner Jordin Sparks debuting the strident R&B rocker "Battlefield," the first single from her as-yet-untitled upcoming second album, with the song's producer/co-writer, OneRepublic's Ryan Tedder, joining her on piano.

As always, Perry brought a big show, taking the stage in a sexy Elvis Presley-style leotard/jumpsuit with Adam Lambert's name in rhinestones on the back and toting a bedazzled microphone with glittering cherries on it. Surrounded by Vegas showgirls in towering red headdresses waving giant white feathered fans, Perry ended the energetic performance by strutting in her glittery mini-cowboy boots as a rain of confetti covered the stage.

And so, next week Lambert and Allen will face off one more time for this year's "Idol" crown. At press time, it was not yet announced what the theme would be for the final showdown, or who the guests are on the Wednesday night finale.

Thanks to Elizabeth, we both ended up digging through the huge rubbish bin in the carpark. All started with the form to sign up for the MUN conference, I was trying to get people to join...but no one wanted to. I kept bugging people so Elizabeth threw it away.

She thought I saw but i didnt =_=

So when Amin came to get the form, she realised she threw it away earlier. Then she realised that the cleaner just cleared out the rubbish bins. So we went to dig through the black plastic bags at each floor.

Then she said we should go to the cleaner's headquarters.....i never heard of such a place till today. When we got there, we asked where the rubbish for the 4th floor was. The guy told us that the cleaner just brought it to the carpark. We ended up running to the huge dumpster in the carpark, only to find the cleaner already threw it away.

We actually went into the huge dumpster just to find the freaking form =_=
In the end we got it....but it stank and was wet...but we didnt care xD

went to mid valley yesterday and headed over to yw's house for a baking session..tzuken found some 'indonesian layer cake' recipe from the Star newspaper and said it was really easy..we trusted him..hahah he even brought an oven to mid valley..watched 'crossing over', it was a really slow pace movie..haha was quite bored throughout the movie..plus the "smell" was so disturbing.blehh after that, went to yw's place, waited for boonz then started baking..we bought ingredients earlier at carrefour and also a pre-made chocolate fudge brownie..hahah pics will let you know how it went =P

ahhhh, can't wait for my bank account to be 5 digits again..hahaha 5 digits meaning RM XXX.XX :P it's been awhile..haha :)

was supposed to go for the roti canai/twisties survey on thursday but the person go postpone it to friday..sigh, according to my friends who went, they were brought to 7-11 and asked to take anything..then the survey ppl asked them a few questions like what are your fav. snacks, how much you spend a week etc. then paid them rm80..cool or what? free money jus burnt like that! speaking abt money, i will elaborate further later.

i worked at the PIKOM PC Fair the last 3 days, wit marcus and alan (college mates) 10th-12th April at the KLCC convention centre..went there at 11am n got off work at 9pm..in between there were 2 hrs of break..honestly, i didnt expect to sell that many mp3/mp4..haha i worked at a booth selling Philips MP3 and MP4 players..and opposite me was some china brand selling MP3, MP4 and MP5! how to fight? just shout: PHILIPS! hahah passerby took our brochures :P

well hope i get lotsa commission so i can payback all my debts (f&f :P) and spend someone gold class tickets :P

i only drove on saturday n parked my car at the most-dreaded carpark.......

now you know why..rm3 per entry, rm2.50 the following hour, NO LIMIT during weekends! :( thank God i shared the ticket wit 3 other ppl, if not..i dunno..went to watch the international at midvalley after work..movie was so-so but the cinema was freeeeeezing cold` midnight summore..nvm that, at least i had company :)

smallville season 8 episode 17 was such a let down :(

oh well on the brightside, i spent the whole friday noon wit my sis! we went to hartamas mall, visited SEGi kota damansara campus, n the curve! haha watch the confessions of a shopaholic! so funny n the guy is so romantic =p

went to visit the SEGi University College, Kota Damansara..it was really really huge! and the architecture in all SEGi campuses are similar, especially those Greek philosophers statue or something..haha don't know who they are, but will post pics so you understand =p
there was a swimming pool smack in the middle of the campus! haha who dares to swim i wonder..n i saw the badminton hall wit 4 courts..cafe, gym, pool table..n the staircase leading towards the office was really grand! with lion statues there as well..fountains everywhere..haha :)

after that, we had lunch at the Bubba Gump Shrimp Restaurant based on the story of Forrest Gump..it's a really nice place but quite expensive though..the deco are really nice and they even sell t-shirts, caps n magnets next to the restaurant! this restaurant is supposed to be famous for shrimps but we didnt even try anything with shrimp! instead, we both had fish :P it was really really really filling, especially the fries..so big portion! n the waiter was kind enough to refill our drinks if we managed to answer 2 of his questions based on Forrest Gump's life..haha so go watch the movie or read up on him if you're planning to get free refills there! :P
before that, the waiter asked if we remember anything about the movie n both of us only remembered the line "life is like a box of chocolate!" from the movie, which was totally irrelevant to his questions! lol.

night went to sri n desa petaling (lol!) for a drink..haha we (noobs) sat in the car with 3 bottles of vodka, rum n some (expired?) nuts..hahahahahha....sac-à-vins! =p

The restrained, vulnerable cover crescendoed with an extended falsetto wail at the end that drew a standing ovation from Robinson, Motown boss Berry Gordy and Kara. "One of the best performances of the night," she said simply, though Simon soon corrected her and called it the best performance of the night. The normally acerbic judge, who hated Lambert's "indulgent" performance the week before, praised his originality and song choice and said, "You, tonight, really have emerged as a star for me."

For a good cause: Chan Chong Ming (sixth right) and Seri Petaling Residents’ Association president Tan Tai Tong (fourth right) handing over the mock cheque to the representative of La Salle Chinese Primary School on Saturday.

On the charity drive organised by CIMB Foundation and Seri Petaling Residents Association (SPRA) for the La Salle Chinese Primary School’s building fund at the Seri Petaling Community Hall on Saturday, Chong Ming thanked the public for their support.

“We managed to collect RM25,000 for the school. The CIMB Foundation contributed RM10,000 while the rest (RM15,000) came from the public, who partnered us during the friendly matches,” said Chong Ming.

“We were really overwhelmed by the big turnout. The players involved during the matches were Choon Eng, Wan Wah, Tan Fook and I. We also invited national players like Hee Chun and Wee Kiong. We really felt good that we could contribute to the community,” added Chong Ming.

spent the last few days at a badminton tourney in sri petaling, Sri Petaling Residents Association (SPRA) was the name..played in the women's open doubles wit michelle, got til the quarter finals only..hahah didnt think we played that badly against the Japanese..

that's us in action against our first round opponents :P

ohya a group of Japanese students from the Chiba University took part in the tourney..we met few japanese guys, haha i can only remember their nicknames: niceguy, bimbo, hentai, gay, strongman ..that's about it..haha but they were all nice guys. they were all really good n some of the girls (2 in particular) were VERY strong..seriously, ive never seen any malaysian girls stronger than the both of them..they're not very built or anything, they look really pretty n fair n one of them has a scrunchy on her head, michelle calls it it the stupid scrunchy..hahaha looks can be really deceiving..once they get onto court, you'd expect them to play like typical girls (lol, no offence) but when they smash its like "BOOOOOM"..its nice to watch them play especially in the mixed doubles, when the jap girl smashes the guy(opponent), n he cant return the shot..its damn embarrassing weih..hahaha..

anyway the highlight event was definitely the exhibition/charity match held on saturday (21st march) around 2pm..national players were there: wong mew choo, hafiz hashim, chan chong ming, chew choon eng, choong tan fook, lee wan wah to name a few..the whole point of this tournament was to raise enough funds to build a chinese school in sri petaling, sjkc la salle if i'm not mistaken..yea n cimb foundation was one of the sponsors..they donated 25k in total..and i was one of the lucky few who managed to play in the charity match :) even if we won or lost, cimb would still donate..but the chance of partnering a national player and playing against one was the whole point..i partnered Asian Junior doubles champion Mak Hee Chun for mixed doubles and played against Michelle-Tan Wee Kiong..we only played one set and we won :)

PCK in Kuala Lumpur

SOMETIMES change is good, especially for a long-running series. It gives it the much-needed shot in the arm to remain fresh for its viewers.

So when news came out that Phua Chu Kang Pte Ltd is moving to Kuala Lumpur to become Phua Chu Kang Sdn Bhd, we wonder if anything might go missing during the big move across the Causeway.

Well, for one, Margaret (Tan Kheng Hua), Chu Beng (Pierre Png), Aloysius (Marcus Ng) and Ah Ma (Neo Swee Lin) aren’t coming along.

Instead, Chu Kang (Gurmit Singh) and Rosie (Irene Ang) will have to contend with new characters played by Adibah Noor, Harith Iskandar and Nell Ng, and a new tagline of "PCK Sdn Bhd, best in Singapore, lagi best in Malaysia!".

In real life, Ang (right) is a businesswoman, actress and also a popular host on Singapore television. She hit the big time 12 years ago playing Rosie Phua in Phua Chu Kang Pte Ltd – one of Singapore’s most popular sitcoms.

The role earned her the best comedy actress award at the Asian Television Awards 2002.

Ang has also starred in TV series such as The Donny Lee Show, Love Matters and Moulmein High.

On the big screen, she has appeared in Coming Home, A Sharp Pencil, Stories About Love and Body Puzzle. She also reprised her iconic role as Rosie in the PCK Musical.

So far, two seasons of the PCK spin-off have been shot with 13 episodes per season. Shooting was done over two months.

Ang said over a phone interview from Singapore that she had to divide her time between the series shoot in Kuala Lumpur and her own commitments back in Singapore.

She explained the move to Kuala Lumpur only involved her character and Gurmit’s (top). "We want to go global," she said with a laugh. "We now have new neighbours and new clients."

According to the new storyline, Rosie hails from Pulau Ketam. Now that she is in Kuala Lumpur, she has to deal with a rich Datin sister (played by Ng).

There is a big difference between Ng’s Datin character and that of Margaret character played by Tan.

Explained Ang: "Margaret doesn’t pretend to be someone else. She comes from a very different background from Rosie’s. Nell (Ng)’s character, on the other hand, is trying to be high society and tries to teach Rosie how to deal with that even though she herself is a little crass."

Ang said that in real life she is nothing like the loud "tai-tai" Rosie. Her approach to playing Rosie is similar to a child’s game of masak-masak: "I am having fun."

The new PCK series was supposed to go into production early last year but was postponed due to unforeseen circumstances. But Ang was not surprised with this new spin-off as there were talks about it for some time.

"The story’s reached a certain point in Singapore and it needed a fresh look," she said. Things will be a bit different in KL.

"Script-wise, the construction work will be different. And the people we meet will be different. There are much bigger jobs here than in Singapore which was mostly fixing roofs and toilets."

Though Rosie’s personal style of dressing (loud) is retained to a certain degree, it is tweaked a little. "It is still loud colours, but a little more tasteful."

The first season of Phua Chu Kang Sdn Bhd will premiere on ntv7 on March 25 at 8.30pm.

i dont seem to know what to blog about lately.i've been reading lotsa blogs but just dont know what to blog about..i read friends blogs, strangers blogs, famous people's blogss..even stumbled across a lesbian's blog lol..it's really weird reading such blog..hahah i dunno why, jus feels awkward :\ but no offence to anyone out there..hmm anyway this semester of college..don't know waht to say..i have 5 assignments and havent started on any..went to class one and a half hrs late..hahah don't ask why =P its just, the subjects are so dry and boring..plus one of the lecturers is soooooo boring..i think i've mentioned before, but i cant help saying it over and over again..he's just plain BORING..hahah and its his class that i went in late :P (wit my other friends of course).when we walked in class, he said "wow, this is very very late. who do you think you are? how can you just walk in the class one and a half hours late without even explaining to the lecturer why you were late? this is the first n last time i'm mentioning this bla bla......."
hahahah we all just kept silent like good students.

obviously the most interesting subject im having now is French =P nothing beats that.
hahaha we have a presentation due this coming thursday, hope we don't make a fool of ourselves!
we were learning opposite words the other day, hot/cold, good/bad etc.
